Wildwind Vassiliki...

Our flagship operation is based in Vassiliki, famous for its fabulous wind conditions, lighter in the mornings and strong cross shore winds most afternoons. Vassiliki is a small fishing village on the south of the island of Lefkas in Greece's Ionian sea. From our centre in the middle of the bay you can see across to the nearby islands of Ithaca and Cephalonia. Lefkas is a stunningly beautiful island, from sleepy mountainside villages to breathtaking beaches on the west coast - Lefkas has escaped the ravages of modern tourism and retains its Greek island character. Wildwind Afissos...

We have finally found a second site in the fishing village of Afissos, eastern Greece that complements our base in Vassiliki perfectly.

Set in the Pelion National Park, Afissos is the ideal location for couples and families who want the same unique Wildwind atmosphere but with more emphasis on day sailing around this area of outstanding natural beauty.

The mountainous area of the Pelion, rising more than 1600 metres, lies directly behind Afissos bay. From the balcony of your hotel you can see the peninsula curving its way along some 8 miles of coast before opening up into the channel that leads to the island of Skiathos.

The traditional architecture and feel of the entire Pelion peninsula has remained unspoilt. Pretty villages decorate the mountainsides, and walking the ancient paths between them brings delights almost at every turn.
